Blink News and Updates

Innovative Sustainable Development at your doorstep

September 2020: Blink Executives have been selected for an exciting Artificial Intelligence Training Opportunity sponsored by the Global Leadership Academy, International Labour Organization and GIZ. We are excited to explore how AI can effectively be used to achieve equitable distribution of resources and opportunities to ensure that vulnerable and often marginalized groups are not left behind especially now in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. We believe that with the correct use of AI people can empower themselves and help build stronger communities and more just society. We look forward to updating all our stakeholders as we dispel the myths and challenges surrounding the much anticipated AI revolution!

August 2020: Blink International is calling upon humanitarian and development professionals to apply for the Roster for various positions. Applicants must have experience working in the development or humanitarian sector. Applicants who fit the profile will be shortlisted and invited for a virtual interview. The roles predominantly involve remote work but should travel restrictions allow (after control of the Corona Virus pandemic) the roles may require travel for short durations. We welcome applicants from all countries with diverse experiences and skills.

We Heal Together

June 2020: A consortium of global organizations have come together to create an exciting, engaging platform sponsored by the Bosch Alumni Network. As a part of this Consortium Blink will be offering up to date data on the impact COVID-19 is having on vulnerable groups within our regions of operation and  connect them to essential services. We will provide regular updates on the projects progress as we work together to “heal, grow, learn and connect”

The Corona Resistance

April 2020: With the rise in COVID-19 cases in Kenya, Blink partnered with Joy Divine to raise the necessary funds to provide relief to thousands of informal workers who have now lost their daily income. Through this initiative, we were able to distribute basic foodstuff and sanitation commodities in one of the largest informal settlements in Nairobi. We were also able to engage community members and observe their daily habits in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and identify other specific needs for future intervention.
